Reading some of the responses validates my perception of a supposed "friend" of Jared's. It seems that Aldric has some exposure to the emerging field of AI and has suddenly decided that those who have no experience in this emerging technology are not worth the time of day. It will be a while until AI replaces all of the human infrastructure that runs IT. In the interim, yes Jared should bone up on LLMs and its practical use in domains he is familiar with if only to be able to site some examples of how he can merge his existing skills with new skills to help a company solve real world problems. Aldric could have been a help, instead he opted to judge his friend and pat himself on the back for not being "stuck in the past". Congratulations.
