You do not write a function for a built-in operator. Why not just replace all of those funny '+' symbols with an add function? Are you a Java programmer dude?

One should expect anyone reading your code to understand the basic syntax, operators, and IDIOMS of the programming language the code is written in. And for another thing you do not need to test the result of the modulus operator to see if it is 0 if your purpose is to determine if the result is even or odd. Your ignorance of programming is boundless....
