If you didn't know the Fern then it's a scam from the jump. Worse case scenario you do owe Fern some money and she calls you to explain. My Google Fi account answers my phone for me so it blocks almost all of the calls into my phone. If I don't recognize the number Google answers and most times the scammers hang up.
